Over a Dozen Speakers.
The inaugural Mid-Atlantic College Media Arts and Communication Conference (#MACMACCon16) took place on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 on the campus of Prince George's Community College (PGCC). Presented by the National College Media Arts and Communication Association, the conference was intended to introduce college students to media professionals in the areas of Journalism, Broadcast Media, Digital Storytelling, Public Relations, Graphic Design, and Music Licensing.
Funded in part by a PGCC Impact Grant Award, #MACMACCon16 was powered by the PGCC Student Publications Office, home of The Owl Newspaper and Reflections Literary and Arts Magazine and the generous support of Jocelyn Alexander, owner of Three Fold Cord Consultancy, Liberated Muse Arts Group, So Our Youth Aspire and the time resources of more than 20 speakers, more than a dozen volunteers, and the PGCC Community Outreach Office who participated in the event.
